the short life

browsing through my songs collection, i came across this song.  decided to listen to it [[for an old time sake]].
knew them when i was like 11 years old, and keep on being their fan until now.
after all the years past by, i guess time really does move forward.
and how true...life is so short ^^
somehow, i wish i can be young again, as i first know them.  life was so innocent back then...

Moffatts If Life is so Short
Isn't it funny how time seems to slip away so fast
One minute you're happy, the other you're sad
But if you give me one more chance
To show my love for you is true
I'll stand by your side your whole
life through

If life is so short
Why don't you let me love you
Before we run out of time
If love is so strong
Why won't you take the chance
Before our time has gone
If life is so short, if life is so short

Love is a word that explains how I feel for you
And when you're in my arms, all my dreams come true
And when you're not around
You can't hardly see
These tears that I'm crying now
are for you to be with me

the first album i bought [[practically starved myself]]

before they went away...huhuhu
ps. enjoy your life, although it's short but always try to make it sweet...

here and there

woah...the last i posted here was like 2 weeks ago.  never knew life could be so buzy ^^.  well, my eyes been seeing a lot lately, so here's the full recap [[of what i ate, drank, bought and where i went]] for the past 2 weeks.

went to taiping [[brother's house]] for raya holidays. the new nephew getting bigger, and cuter. and i end up playing deck card with them...[[hoho]]

very nakal kids [[but love them all the same...ehehe]]
i stayed there 3 days, and went back to usm. the saturday right before raya holiday ended, i went to parit buntar together with irene. stay there for a night and went to school the next day...bought this pair of shoes on the way.  somehow am interested in white things nowadays [[shoes, tshirt, socks, etc]].

love the metal bit at the front...
and love the fact that i got a discount ^^
got back from Kedah and my class started as usual.

Last week on friday, went to pulau aman with het321 coursemates.

Pulau Aman...[[peace...]]

with my p.khas coursemates.  only 11 of us took english as minor. owh,the indian girl [[kavi]] is my new friend...'the cool girl' ehe

stay for a night with homestay family.  the children in the family i stayed with are still young, and yet they have to live without the love of their father.  felt very sorry for them, cause i felt without a father, life would be hard [[miss my dad...huhu]]. but somehow i know they will be okay, cause children like them [[bright like a sunny day]] will be...

[[back to pulau aman]] went there to do our research on homestay operators.  the night we arrived, we get to teached them a few English words and conducted our survey. the next day, we went to go 'siput hunting' at the beach [[my first time]] i was so excited to find all those siput [[clams]] when we dig there [[the sand and mud...get my hands dirty ^^]] and after that we do a bit of game...

see those clams???
simply love the big prawns <3
after the game, we went to wacthed a kuih sepit demonstration.  well, it's more like eating at the kuih sepit demonstration [[hehe...]]and after that, we went to eat Pulau Aman's famous mee udang for lunch
 ------->>>
yum...yum....^^

we departed from there at 1.30pm... although it was such a short trip, i glad i went.  get to experience new things, eat kampung food [[which i miss a lot]], make new friends and even get scolded by the uncle boat driver. hope to be back there again, with family some time.

just me on the yacht [[ehem...just a boat...ehe]]

reaching for the sea...
well, got back to usm in one piece on saturday. but just get to rest for a day and on monday, am up and about again to go to parit buntar [[again]]. and again go to school for our assigment.  was there the whole day, and after meeting the teacher [[everything went well, thankfully]] stayed at dayah's house while waiting for her dad to send us back to usm. get the chance to know dayah's nephew [[he keep calling his grandma 'tok!' 'tok!'.  i thought upin & ipin came by]]  anyway, on the way back, dayah's dad brought us to eat at teluk tempoyak, a place called Restaurant Sri Idaman.  there, i ate my stomach out...

this is only a quarter of what her dad ordered.  didn't managed to get all the seafood pic's, was to busy eating
if u ever come to penang, do come to this restaurant to eat cause the seafood are great [[we ate there practically in the rain due to the storm, but i guess as long as the food's good, people will keep on coming no matter sun or rain]] ps.  the restaurant is by the sea, if it the day i bet the scene would be wow!.

ate this much...thought i couldn't walk after that..[tsk2]]
last but not least, a million of thanks to dayah's family. thanks for the great food ^^

well, guess that's all for now. will be back for more [[tooodless]]
ps.  wanna go to johor as well ^^

have lOve

i understand that most people don't share their views in lot's of things. people argued everyday just to prove that they are the one whose right.
[[heck, some people even killed and go to war to do that]].

but it really baffles me, why [[sometimes]] people take such an extreme measure?
when i read the online newspaper today, i was shocked [[and sad at the same time]] to found news about the plan to burn Quran in Florida. is this act necessary? is the thought to do so necessary? i'm not a religious person, but i believe in God and i strongly believe there's none in His teaching that tells us to do such an act.
i am a book lover, and i considered Quran as a sacred book for the Muslims. it's has the same worth and value as the Bible is to us Christian. our faith is reflected by these books, and so does our knowledge about the world. i don't have much to say about this incident, except that i'm disappointed with those people. such books of great knowledge should never be treated that way. and those books contain nothing wrong. through those books religion teach us to do good. the result of prejudice against a religion has nothing to do with the religion itself, it's the people who tainted them. imagine how would us Christian feels if someone planned to burn our Bible. i would definitely feels sad and and most people will feel anger as no respect is shown to our holy books.

i really hope they would change their mind before it's too late. somehow, i can feel that the consequences [[if it really happened]] would bring disaster, not just at their part of the world, but all around the world. have more faith, and more love. with love and faith can only we understand more and respect more about others.

the lOst symbOl

...when the hard cover edition first came out [[bout 6 months ago]] i can only gawked at it from afar since it cost almost a hundred rgt. somehow, i have a very strong urge to grab one [[at that time i was at popular-perangin]] and make a run for it. miraculously, i managed to stop myself. ok,right now you might think 'what the hell is she talking about??' well, am actually talking about this book down here...

dan brown, the lost symbol.  and when the paperbag edition finally out, i never wasted my time to buy one [[yeah!!]] at last my collection of Brown's are complete ^^ now, let's get down to the storyline.

the main character [[hero]] is robert langdon [[the same langdon in da vinci code]] and it tells about his adventure trying to save his mentor [[Peter Solomon]] from his kidnapper. unknowingly, he was brought to washington dc by peter's kidnapper and he refuses to agree to the kidnapper's orders.  however, he was forced to change his mind after he saw a gruesome incident happened at the capitol rotunda. and for the rest you have to read yourself [[ehe]]  * spoiler alert: the kidnapper [[malaikh]] and peter actually have histories and relation that is quite unbelievable, and somehow it will bring sadness in your heart.

what i love most about brown is the fact that he can delivered a very twisting puzzle in a very untwisted manner. although sometimes the character acts as if they are human-dictionaries, the facts [[mostly about symbols and signs]] are fascinating. btw, most af them are true.  owh, another noteworthy aspect is brown's interpretation of the bible. it's quite different from what i've know, but not entirely wrong. thanks to Brown, i realized that to know the word of God, i have to be responsible as with His words, comes great knowledge.
ps. i've also get to learn a new language (latin) which i think is very meaningful to me:
Laus Deo
 [[literally translated as Praise God]]
praise God it is ^^

giBbering

well, the day almost over. and i keep coming back here [[shows that i really got nothing to do]].
anyway, today is as bored as it is yesterday [[sigh]].

called him to to tell him this...but the reply i got was "kerja,,,tengah buzy" [[sigh...i guess that's how it is when the other part is in the work force]] so i turn to the net for solace. surfing here and there. then suddenly Ring3!!! [[he called back, talked for a while]] suddenly
the day didn't seem to be bored as much.

[[sigh]] just a call and im like  so happy this happy  ------->
i guess im just too easy to please...not that i mind ^^

44 cemetery rOad

44 cemetery road is a compilation of 21 short stories by Tunku Halim.  quoting from him, the stories are tales of horror and imagination [[it really is]].
anyway, although the main theme of this book is horror, Tunku Halim managed to twist other elements in his writing as well, involving love, lust, money, friendship and even family. sometimes the ending of his tales are unpredictable, which make it a more interesting read. however, i do not recommend those who have a weak heart to read this. even i avoid reading them at night, gives me nightmare [[although these kind of stories are my cup of tea]].
ps.  spoiler alert. the title of this book [[44 cemetery road]] is actually a vampire story.

books hUnting

to kick off my holiday, i went to chowrasta market the other day with a couple of friends. we've been planning to go like forever, but the plan have been on hold for two years [[talk about overdue]]. not that the place is very far away, somehow we can't find the right time to go.  so, finally we managed.  our main spot- the secondhand bookstore. hopefully i can find some books i've been hunting for quite some time.

we arrived at perangin mall quite early, and of course go makan-makan first.  then we started our hunt. we managed to sesat two times and on the way we got to see a moving advert for air asia...quite a scene i must say. these guys are serious to sell  [[and those ads must be heavy]]

after asking around, we finally got the right place. the bookstore stood all the way to the end of the market...and when i finally saw it, my jaws just dropped.

towers of books
as you can see, the books are stacks up to the ceiling [[wish i can stay here]]. books are just everywhere, all types of them.  from reader's digest to the bible, from kids story books to grown-ups, from thriller to romance... at first, i couldn't find any of the books im searching.  but then, just as we're about to walked away, my eyes suddenly saw something- Tunku Halim.  i practically dived to grab it [[been searching all over for it.  although he's a local author, his books are very hard to find]] to my delight, the store got three of them, but since i already bought a thriller novel, i can only afford two of Tunku Halim's [[if only i saw them earlier...sob3]].  i'll come by again and hopefully the 3rd book will still be there...

tunku halim and karin slaughter (an unknown writer to me)
before we went home [[hostel to be accurate...]], we stop by at perangin mall for a while.  it's so hot outside, and we were drenched in sweat when we finally inside the air-con building. it was a blessed...after that,HOME [[nay...]] can't wait to read them [[book marathon]]

the books hunter...me, irene and deff [[waka2]]

chicken sOup with GinGer

mid-sem holiday.

Tonight, am going to make chicken soup with ginger...mummy's style ^^ for dinner.
it's actually very easy to cook, and i just love the taste of ginger [[good for our body]].  besides, i miss my mum's cooking, she always cook it at home. so i figure i give a try [[to get a taste of home]] anyway, here's the ingredients...
1. chicken (cut into pieces)
2. ginger (slice)
3. onion (slice)
4. veges (whatever veges)
5. seasoning ( salt, ajinomoto, cjili powder etc)

i bet most of you know how to do this, but here's how i cook it...

1. heat water until boiling (make sure the water is enough for your soup)
2. let the water boil for 2-3 mins, then put in the slice ginger, onion and chicken.let it cook until the chicken becomes tender.
3. put in chili powder (depend on your taste) and seasoning
4. lastly, put in veges. let it cook for 5 min or less. keep the veges crunchy.
5. ready to eat ^^
since it's a bit spicy i put a little bit limau kasturi inside. like it more this way. well, thats about it. very full right now [[but somehow miss my mum even more....sigh]]
happy trying people!!

the so-called ginger soup
